Mom's Recipe - Cheese Straws
1 cup flour
2 cups old cheddar cheese, grated
1 tbsp butter
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Mix like pie dough with 3/8 cup water or less.
Roll thin, salt, cut into strips.
Bake at 400 F for 6-10 minutes on a cookie sheet.
After they are baked and cooled, pile onto a baking sheet and back at 225 F for about 1 hour to dry out.
Mom's Recipe - Cheese Ball
4 cups grated cheddar
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp sherry
1 tsp Worcestershire
1/8 tsp onion salt
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1/8 tsp celery salt
1/2 cup chopped almonds
Mix together, shape in a ball and roll in chopped nuts.
Variations:
3 cups cheddar
1 cup Parmesan
2 cups cheddar
1 cup cream cheese
1 cup Parmesan
Mom's Recipe - Caesar Salad
Garlic salt
salt & pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
3-4 dashes of Worcestershire
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
4 heaping tsp mayonnaise
Cut Romaine lettuce into manageable bites. Mix sauce with lettuce, fresh grated parmesan, backon bits and croutons.
Mom's Recipe - Potatoes Romanoff
6 large potatoes
2 containers sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded old cheddar
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
paprika to taste
Bake potatoes, peel and shred into a large bowl. Stir in sour cream, 1 cup of grated cheese, onion, salt and pepper. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese. Sprinkle paprika on top. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Bake uncovered in a 350 F oven for 30-40 minutes.
Mom's Recipe - Parmesan Cheese Ball
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup parmesan, grated
1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 tbsp chopped green pepper
2 tbsp chopped pimento
chopped parsley
Combine cheeses. Add veg. Roll into a ball and chill. Roll in parsley. Serve with crackers.
Mom's Recipe - Kahlua
Boil for 2 minutes and cool: 3 3/4 cups sugar & 2 cups water
In another pot boil and cool: 1/2 cup instant coffee & 1/2 cup water
Mix together.
Add 1 tbsp & 1 tsp vanilla, 2 tbsp glycerine & 26 oz vodka.

Mom's Recipe - Yorkshire Pudding
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 425 F. Grease muffin tin. Put the tin in the oven to heat up the oil.
Beat the eggs, flour, milk and salt (and maybe pepper) until smooth. Pour batter into hot tins. Bake for 12-15 mins until risen and golden.
